BEMFICA SENTADO is a Spanish theatre company. It’s made up of young creators from different artistic branches, united to create a theatre that transcends words. The members of the company met in London in 2008, and it was there that they developed their first project together, MIRAR MUCHO TIEMPO TUS VALLES.

BEMFICA SENTADO´s work consists of transforming the above idea into physical metaphors, putting in movement the internal world of the characters. Of creating a palette of images, positions, movements and choreographies. As a result, words are not essential to understanding the piece.

The actor´s work does not begin with emotion, but with the creation of a physical and gestural score that will be used as a trampoline for the scene itself. The text and physical actions are inextricably linked, neither existing without the presence of the other, and serving the purpose of transmitting a frustrating intimacy to the audience.
